Our First 4th of July in Washington

I debated on blogging big holidays like Fourth of July, Halloween, and Christmas, but there are things that we do each year in the community - so I decided to go ahead and do so.

I take no credit, Google stole it first

So we moved to Washington state from Wisconsin in May 2010 and so this was our very first 4th of July in Washington.  We have two kids with medical issues - both of them on the Autism Spectrum, neither liking crowds or loud noises, and we just kinda stopped going to fireworks shows after Noah was born, because he was premature and then ended up with sensory processing disorder... so it just wasn't something we picked back up.

Plus being super new to the area and not really knowing how crowded things get and where exactly the best places to go were or even where to go other than my Mom's general ...  "oh you could probably go here..." suggestions... LOL ...   So we just hung out at our house (which was on the water) ... and decided to see what we could see....

By the time it got dark, or started to, Nathan (out littlest but #3 out of 4 boys) has to have a schedule ...  so the rest of us went outside with the baby monitor.

DB, Calahan, Kaedyn (our youngest - he was 21 months old) and my cousin Ashley.

A few fireworks from where we were ....

Cal hanging out on the dock to try to see some later fireworks ....

Noah hanging out with him ....

And we could see some fireworks from our dock ...
