Today on Twitter ......

(written February 24, 2019)
*Author’s Note: The photographs in this blog entry are not mine at all, these are all photos screen captured off of Twitter(dot)com and shared due to the wonderful "event" that was created on social media because of it.  This event actually ended up making national (possibly world) news.  It was a LOT of fun, and there are THREE TOTAL ENTRIES TO THIS SERIES.

(Below) A collage I made of some of my favorite pictures....
@PDefianceZoo = Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma, WA
@woodlandpaparkzoo = Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, WA
@SeattleAquarium = Seattle Aquarium in Seattle, WA

as a side mention, @ComoZoo=Como Zoo in St. Paul, MN ... is the Zoo we'd frequent when we lived in Wisconsin .

Something amazing happened today on Twitter ....  The internet was almost broke with cuteness ... the days of boring depressing news was interrupted by the ultimate tweet battle that everyone should love!

It all started when the National Zoo tweeted about their brand new (4 day old) gray seal pup

Thanks to a woman named Sarah Hill Darrow .... challenging the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center to top that

.....  and #ChallengeAccepted....  Virginia Aquarium posted this ....

National Zoo came back with this adorable little orangutan.... asking Virginia Aquarium if they fold yet!?
Of course Virginia Aquarium does not fold .... has no intention of EVER folding!

National Zoo is getting a bit bored.....
So why not throw in some other Zoos!  Like the Virginia Zoo ....   and let me tell you - the gauntlet was way more than thrown ...

And the #CUTEANIMALTWEETOFF exploded all over twitter....

One word..........  Sloth....

..... I mean Sloths ...... OMG Sloths .......  My heart....

Red Panda .....  be still my heart.....

Is this otter sucking on it's tail like a baby sucks it's thumb to go to sleep?   WINNER!!!!

Honestly I think Nico and Santos could have their OWN contest ...  LOL

And I adore the fact that our first respondents in FUR showed up to represent!!!

SLOTHS!!!!!!

Even the Irwins at the Australian Zoo got into the mix!!

Have you ever seen a giraffe dancing?? Cuz this one certainly looks like it's dancing!!

Men in Uniform AND the dogs that fight for our freedom!!?  How does it get better??

Dude......  I mean, just......... Dude.  Can I take Kindi home?

Who knew Antarctica ... who knew....

But wait....  there's more......LOOK >>> HERE <<< (and a part three too!)

BUG MUSEUM   <-- link too!

COST:  FREE

Open from 10 AM to 5 PM everyday.

On Halloween the Bug Museum is always a really great time!  They usually have some of their reptiles out and they give away little goodie bags.

Bug Museum (there is also a great online store!)
1118 Charleston Beach Rd W, Bremerton, WA 98312.

First off, I adore LADYBUGS!!!!  💗💗💗💗 I also love DRAGONFLIES and who doesn't love Butterflies?

They have these great "status" around the building ....

And I found this great little friend..... I hate spiders, but they are pretty cool to take pictures of.... with .... long telephoto lenses.....

Miss Ivy Jane (my niece), Nathan (gray shirt) and Kaedyn (green jacket) .... Noah is right in front of the yellow garage door but he's kinda half cut off....

Boris ...  by the way, is CREEPY ......... {shivers}

Kaedyn  "This ladybug is too big" ....

Once inside, it's REALLY hard to miss the giant Sulcata Tortoise!  In case you missed it, her name is Cecil....

You can see part of her shell in the bottom right corner of this picture below...

Then there are all these different reptiles in the reptile room!

NEVER EVER ... {shivers}  ...... snakes....

There are also great displays of different insects and such ....  some even by microscopes where you can get a bit of a deeper look....

More of the reptiles ....

There is also the large ANT FARM with these plastic clear straw tubes going from habitat to habitat ...

Overall .... it's definitely a great place to visit and/or visit often!

They do have all kinds of neat habitats and various things you can buy in the store front at the museum.  This includes SUCKERS WITH BUGS IN THEM!  Yes, I did say that!!!
